Rhinophyma Repair

Rhinophyma or “bulbous nose” is a rare skin condition affecting the nose in which there is dramatic overgrowth of the sebaceous (oil) glands in the skin. It is often associated with pre-existing rosacea, an adult form of acne. Many people will recall famous individuals like WC Fields or JP Morgan as having suffered from this condition. In addition to changing the appearance of the nose, sometimes the excess tissue can cause difficulty breathing through the nose.
